Published 30 April 2026

Summary

Cove, an established clothing brand, wanted to expand into accessories with original artwork, not generic prints, to strengthen their identity. Bhavna Rishi London commissioned bespoke artwork, translated it into a signature scarf collection, and produced a retail-ready range that gives Cove customers a product they cannot find anywhere else.

The brief

Cove is an established clothing brand with a distinctive aesthetic and a loyal customer base. They wanted accessories, but not the kind that any brand could have. Off-the-shelf prints or licensed patterns were not under consideration.

The brief was clear: original artwork, created specifically for Cove, that would feel like a natural extension of their clothing line. A scarf collection that could only belong to them.

Why original artwork matters

The right accessory deepens a brand story and gives loyal customers a new way to engage with something they already love. It creates a product with a clear reason for existing.

Cove understood this. They wanted an accessory that could only belong to them, something that felt like a natural extension of their clothing and carried their visual identity forward. That calls for original work, and original work calls for a production partner who can manage the process from artwork commission all the way through to the retail floor.

What we did

Understanding the brand before touching the work. The first step was understanding Cove’s visual language, the colours, the mood, the feeling of their clothing. The commissioned artwork needed to feel like it had always been part of the brand.

Artwork commission. A bespoke original painting was created specifically for the scarf collection, not adapted from something else, but made for this purpose. The artwork was developed through a collaborative process with the Cove team.

Translation to scarf format. The finished painting was prepared for production, adapted for the scarf proportions, managed through colour profiling, and developed into a print-ready file that preserved the character of the original.

Production management. Fabric selection, sampling, and full production oversight, managed end-to-end to ensure the finished scarves matched the artwork and met Cove’s quality standard.

The result

Cove has an accessories range that is genuinely theirs. The scarf collection carries original artwork, tells a brand story, and gives customers a product they cannot find anywhere else, which is exactly what a well-made accessory should do.
