The Method

The BuildTheDreamBrand Method

A four-pillar framework — Skills, System, Coaching, Accountability — that takes founders and artists from sketch to retail launch. Built on twenty years of producing for the V&A Museum, Fenwick, and Iconic Images.

What is the BuildTheDreamBrand Method?

The BuildTheDreamBrand Method is the framework Bhavna Rishi uses to take founders and artists from idea to retail shelf — built on twenty years of producing licensed merchandise for the V&A Museum, British Museum, Fenwick, and Iconic Images. It works on four pillars: Skills (how to actually produce a product), System (the step-by-step process that keeps nothing missing), Coaching (one-to-one support through the specific challenges of your brand), and Accountability (the structure that gets you to launch, not just to planning). Two routes in: the Course and 1:1 Mentoring.

The four pillars

Skills

The practical skills to build and run a fashion brand — product development, tech packs, sampling, supplier negotiation, retail buying, licensing. Not theory. The actual craft of production, taught by someone who does it every week for clients including the V&A and Iconic Images.

System

A proven step-by-step framework that takes you through every phase of building a brand, in the right order, so nothing gets missed and nothing has to be done twice. The system is the same one used across 50+ brand launches over twenty years.

Coaching

One-to-one mentoring sessions working through your specific challenges and opportunities. Not generic advice applied to a generic brand — your product, your supplier situation, your retail target, your timeline.

Accountability

Regular check-ins and milestones to keep you on track and moving forward — even when the factory goes quiet, the sample is wrong, or the timeline slips. The accountability structure is what separates brands that launch from brands that stay at the idea stage.

Who the Method is for

Artists & photographers

You have artwork — paintings, photographs, illustrations, murals — and you want to translate it into wearable merchandise. Silk scarves, accessories, clothing. You need a production partner who understands licensing, colour management, and how to make your artwork look as beautiful on fabric as it does on a wall.

Independent founders

You have a brand idea — or a stalled brand — and you need more than encouragement. You need a system, a supplier framework, a sampling process, and someone who has done it fifty times before to tell you what to do next and what to avoid. The Method is that system.

Frequently asked questions

What is the BuildTheDreamBrand Method?

The BuildTheDreamBrand Method is a four-pillar framework — Skills, System, Coaching, Accountability — designed to take fashion brand founders and artists from idea to retail launch. It is built on Bhavna Rishi's twenty years of producing licensed merchandise for the V&A Museum, British Museum, Fenwick, Iconic Images, and 50+ independent brands.

Who is the Method designed for?

Two audiences. First: artists and photographers who want to translate their work into wearable merchandise — scarves, accessories, clothing — and need a production partner who understands licensing, colour management, and low-MOQ manufacturing. Second: independent fashion founders who are building a brand from scratch and need a system, not just advice.

How is the Method different from general business coaching?

The Method is built on production expertise, not business theory. Every element — the supplier framework, the sampling process, the retail buyer approach — comes from a practice that produces real merchandise for real institutions every week. General business coaches can help you with mindset and strategy. The BuildTheDreamBrand Method teaches you how to actually make things.

How long does it take to go from sketch to shelf?

It depends on the product and the complexity of the production route. HOC had a finished product in three months. DLK took six months from first conversation to stockist orders. The Method builds the right timeline into the process — not a promise, but a realistic framework with milestones at each stage.

What are the two ways to access the Method?

The BuildTheDreamBrand Course (self-paced, currently in development for Phase 1: Artists & Photographers) and 1:1 Mentoring (intensive, one-to-one, starting with a Strategy Call).
